Amy Ireland | Rejects the conformity of titles.

Amy is a student of life, an observer of people, a strategist, a researcher, and an insightful business and marketing professional. She’s also a mom, which makes her an expert at negotiating any situation that arises – quickly, calmly and with authority.

In her 15+ years of experience in account management and strategy, Amy has driven the growth of successful products and brands from both the client side and agency side. Prior to Fechtor, she directed agency work for Nationwide Children’s Hospital over the course of a decade, transforming it from a local brand into one with a national reputation.

Amy has a broad range of experience in retail, consumer packaged goods, economic development, education, healthcare and non-profit organizations.

Special interests include cause marketing, marketing technology and creating an atmosphere where great strategy leads to great work and great results.

Outside of work, Amy enjoys spending time with her husband, her two children and extended family.

She’s also a bird-lover. Ask her about it some time.

Mike Sanford | Title Schmitle.

Mike is a copywriter and creative director who has spent the last couple of decades creating award-winning advertising and branding campaigns that are strategically insightful, conceptually unique, attention-getting, memorable, and results-oriented.

You’d recognize his work for clients like McDonald’s, Sony, Scotts Lawn Care, NAPA Auto Parts, Elmer’s Glue, Hardee’s Food Systems and Cooper Tire. His category expertise includes tourism, retail, automotive, sports, healthcare, financial services and more.

At Fechtor, Mike works on…uh…just about everything.

His work has been recognized by The New York Festivals, The Clios, the Telly Awards, and the ADDYs – and has been featured in industry publications like Advertising Age, Adweek, Brandweek and Communication Arts.

Mike is a graduate of Concord University.

He lives in Powell with his wife, Karen, their son, Owen, and a rescue dog named Rooney, who is incredibly loving and friendly. Unless you’re a cat.

Amy Thompson | Shuns titles.

Right brain. Left brain. Middle brain. Amy’s got ‘em all. With a strong background in theater and broadcast production, she’s also a writer, project manager, and “keeper-of-the-peace,” managing the collaboration between creative and account teams and outside artists, as well as overseeing budgets and production schedules.

In her 25+ years of advertising industry experience, Amy has worked with clients such as the Ad Council, Anheuser-Busch, the City of Cleveland, the Greater Columbus (Ohio) Arts Council, Heath Bar/Leaf, McDonald’s, The Ohio State University, Ralston Purina and United Way of Central Ohio.

Awards include the International Film and Television Festival of New York, Emmys, ADDYs, TELLYs and Art Direction Magazine, among others. And her documentaries have been awarded grants from the Ohio Humanities Council, the Greater Columbus Arts Council, Kentucky Foundation for Women and Kentucky Humanities Council.

In her not-so-spare time, Amy is an avid reader, gardener, cook and community volunteer.

Dave Rogers | Untitled #6.

Dave is an art director and creative director with a great eye. Two of them, actually. And when they’re combined with his strategic ability and conceptual talents, the results are often attention-getting, award-winning, results-oriented and memorable.

His category experience includes financial services, tourism, retail, automotive, healthcare, sports and more. You’ve probably seen his work for a variety of clients, including The American Heart Association, Cooper Tire, Eli Lilly, Huntington Bank, McDonald’s, NAPA Auto Parts, OhioHealth, The Ohio State University and Scotts Lawn Care.

Dave’s work has been recognized by The New York Festivals, the Telly Awards, Manny awards and the ADDYs – and has also been featured in industry publications like Advertising Age, Adweek, Med Ad News and Communication Arts.

Dave is a graduate of Columbus College of Art and Design.

Walter Stanley | Refuses to be pigeonholed.

Walter was born (hatched, actually) in Ohio, but his roots are in Costa Rica. He worked briefly for a fly-by-night agency before landing at Fechtor, where he critiques much of the work before it goes out the door. When he hates something, he shreds it. When he loves something, he shreds it. And he participates in just about everything we do, from strategy development to copywriting to art direction to digital design. He also tweets on behalf of our clients. Walter likes fresh fruit, sunflower seeds, long flights in the park and latin music. We’re lucky to have him.
